I love hockey, but it was the only thing keeping my cable operator in business. I went internet-only last year and since then haven't been able to watch my home team. I have emailed the NHL several times asking them for legal ways to pay for streaming using Center Ice or whatever, but nothing. Sigh. Maybe someday.

Guess I'll have to fire up my Norwiegen video stream to watch some playoffs!

They only check your location (by checking your IP address) when you first log in and connect to the stream.

There are a number of free, readily available IP masking options. I use TunnelBear.

1. Open TunnelBear and choose a country like France or Japan.

2. Log in to NHL GCL.

3. Choose your game.

4. Turn off TunnelBear.

5. Watch game without any blackout or degradation in quality.
